LEGACY: How do I find the MAC (ethernet, or NIC) address needed so that a node-locked license can be created?
NOT SUPPORTED ANYMORE: In this FAQ we describe how to find the information we need to create your node-locked license.
LinuxHow to find your machine information for our node-locked licenses
We need one of the machine’s MAC/ethernet addresses. Run
/sbin/ifconfig -a
and return to us the result. You can also create moveable node-locked licenses. Read this FAQ.
How to find your machine information for our node-locked licenses
Return to us one of the machine’s MAC/ethernet addresses.
You can do that running the following command in Terminal:
/sbin/ifconfig -a
and return to us the result.
If you don’t feel comfortable doing that, run the installer for the product you’d like to order (Twixtor for Avid, for example). Then when the installer asks you for your regisration key (which you do not have yet), your “Ethernet Address(es)” will be displayed.
The address we need is the first of the addresses displayed. It will be a 12 character alphanumeric string. See the circled address below as an example. You can then install the demo version of the plugin and reinstall once you get a registration key from us.
You can also create moveable node-locked licenses. Read this FAQ.
