Handle Variable Frame Rate
Phones record with variable frame rate. You select 240 FPS but then it records 177.1218 FPS? And each frame is not a constant distance to next one, the phone records as fast as it can.
No More Stutter
Implement a workflow so each frame is equidistant in time. Then real audio sync as opposed to nearest frame interpretation.
Avoid Post Production Issues
It might be fine to have VFR video if you just resend video on social media for someone else to watch on their phone. However jerkiness might not be for you.

Known Issue: After Effects
Interpret footage More Options does not work with Android Camera movies but work with Android Open Camera ones. Works fine with iPhone movies.
Known issue: Premiere
Works fine with iPhone movies. Premiere detects Android phone cameras are VFR but does not display the Smooth Video (i.e. Read All Frames) option then, so this won't work as advertised.
Works with Any Retimer
This should work with any retimer that can intepolate intermediate frame such as Twixtor. Note there is a bug in Premiere with integer frame rates (e.g. 24, 30) preventing us to relocate the frame in time, use 23.976, 29.970, 59.940 if you reinterpret footage FPS and setting sequence frame rate.
